As a continuation of Book Night. In addition to extending its duration, it will give greater prominence to bookstores.
This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Mariano de Paco Serrano, during the celebration of Bookstore Day.
“The project aims to boost the activity of bookshops and libraries in the region and, in particular, to promote book sales during four days of attractive programming that will encourage more citizens to visit these spaces,” said the minister. Supporting the bookshop network means guaranteeing access to culture, he added.
The event will be held around Book Day, April 23, and will run from Thursday to Sunday, in contrast to the single-day format of La Noche de los Libros (Book Night), thus making it easier for the public to attend more than one event.
