More than 120 guests gather at the 17th Sui Generis Festival

The Sui Generis Festival celebrates its 17th edition this week at Casa del Lector (Matadero Madrid).

The international festival of horror, gothic, science fiction, fantasy, and romanticism in Madrid has as its theme this year ‘Broken Futures, Living Pasts.’ Directed by Marjorie Eljach, the festival will be held from November 12 to 16.

More than 120 authors will attend the festival, with international guests such as Fonda Lee (United States), María Fernanda Ampuero (Ecuador), Luciano Lamberti (Argentina), Gabino Iglesias (Puerto Rico), Aliette de Bodard (France), and Ramiro Sanchiz (Uruguay).

This edition will feature the Madrid Publishers Association (AEM) as a collaborating entity, which, together with the Besarilia Cultural Association, is organizing a Publishers' Meeting open to the general public, with the aim of creating links and generating synergies between publishers, authors, and readers. The meeting will take place throughout the day on Thursday, November 13, at La Nube de Casa del Lector (Matadero).
