Crime fiction: the Getafe Negro festival celebrates its 18th edition with a tribute to the Millennium trilogy and a diverse program.

The program for the 18th Madrid Crime Fiction Festival, known as Getafe Negro, was presented at the Espacio Mercado in Getafe.

From October 18 to 26, the festival will offer a literary journey that begins in Scandinavia passing through Poland, the Netherlands, France, and ending in Spain.

Over the course of two weeks, more than sixty activities will take place, including round tables, colloquiums, discussions, conferences, podcasts, live radio, theater, cinema, concerts, parades, workshops, family treasure hunts, storytelling, exhibitions, board games, live role-playing, and reading clubs. In these activities, more than eighty authors will explore emerging trends such as supernatural thrillers, developments in historical crime fiction, Nazi crime, urban thrillers, and rural noir, as well as cult literature and hybridizations with other genres such as folk horror.
