Getafe Negro comes of age with a literary journey through crime-ridden Europe

The 18th Madrid Crime Fiction Festival brings together more than 80 authors and celebrates 20 years of ‘Millennium’ with a European tour of crime, memory, and imagination.

The town of Getafe is once again tinged with black. The Madrid Crime Fiction Festival, Getafe Negro, celebrates its 18th edition from October 18 to 26 with a program that combines commemoration and renewal.

Now in its coming of age, the event embarks on a literary journey through Europe, starting in Scandinavia and passing through Poland, the Netherlands, and France before ending in Spain, in a tribute to the spirit of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the 20th anniversary of ‘Millennium,’ Stieg Larsson's trilogy that redefined the genre.
