The Planeta Award breaks a new record for participation

The 74th edition of the Planeta Award for novels broke a new record for participation, receiving 1,320 original manuscripts aspiring to become the winner of the world's most lucrative literary award,

which grants €1 million to the first prize winner and €200,000 to the runner-up.

According to a statement issued by the Planeta publishing house, this is the first time that writers have been able to submit their work via a digital form on the company's website, which has made it easier to enter the competition. A total of 1,287 novels were submitted in this way, while only 33 were sent in paper form by post.
