It has been just over four years since Jordi and Ramon Souto first opened the doors of La Fatal in Lérida.
Four years that have seen it become a leading bookshop in the Catalan city which now take on a new challenge: launching a publishing house, Eclecta, a nationwide label that will publish books in both Spanish and Catalan.
According to La Fatal, the label will publish a dozen books a year and will be officially launched at a public event at the Teatre de la Llotja in Lérida on October 23, along with its first two titles: ‘L'altra hipòtesi,’ the new novel by philosopher, writer, and professor Ferran Sáez; and the first edition in Catalan of the classic ‘Els idus de març,’ by American author Thornton Wilder, translated by Ernest Riera.
