The publishing house Anagrama has launched Caja baja, a free reading initiative for young people that seeks to share reading and encourage critical thinking, free from digital noise.
This new collective reading project is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30 and, as Anagrama explained in a statement, aims to “promote reading among the younger generations and offer a sustained space for literary conversation, free from algorithms and digital noise, reinforcing the role of reading as a critical, shared, and transformative practice.”
The group of participants will consist of a minimum of twenty-five and a maximum of forty people who, throughout 2026, will receive a book each month from the Anagrama catalog—either a new release or a backlist title—which they will discuss online via the Discord platform.
In addition, the publisher will organize complementary activities, such as meetings with authors and virtual thematic sessions.
The registration period will be open between October 1 and 31, 2025. Those interested should send a letter or video explaining their interest in participating and their relationship with reading.
