The Board of Directors of the Federación de Gremios de Editores de España has announced the first names of the winners of this year's LIBER Awards, which will be presented on October 9
at an event to be held at the Centro Cultural Conde Duque as part of the activities of the International Book Fair, LIBER 2025, which this year will be held at IFEMA MADRID from October 7 to 9.
In this edition, the film Pedro Páramo, directed by Mexican Rodrigo Prieto, scripted by Spaniard Mateo Gil and produced by Redrum and Woo Films, broadcast by Netflix, has been chosen LIBER Award for the best audiovisual adaptation of a literary work.
Likewise, the LIBER 2025 Prize for the Promotion of Reading in the Media was awarded to Antonio Martínez Asensio, responsible for the program Un libro, una hora and the segment La Biblioteca in Hoy por Hoy on the Cadena SER network.
