Rafael Torres publishes 'Las chicas malas de la república'

During the Republic, women, despite resistance from the most reactionary sectors, achieved great levels of freedom thanks to their drive and talent. But all of that was buried by the dictatorship.

There are books that suddenly make you realize, make you reflect, illuminate a gap in your life, in your education, in your formation as a human being, that is orphaned, empty, starving. And suddenly, that book comes along and fills it, or at least inhabits it a little, and from then on, you are a better, more complete, wiser, more just human being.

That's what happened to this critic with 'Las chicas malas de la república' by Rafael Torres, a work recently published in La esfera de los libros and with the clarifying subtitle ‘Valientes, brillantes, raras, libres '.
