Marta Robles is one of the most recognized authors of the national literary scene. In the novel essay ‘Lo que la primavera hace con los cerezos’ (2022), Robles immerses her readers in the lives of creators
of very different artistic professions (musicians, writers, poets, painters, sculptors, filmmakers, photographers, etc.), many of them turbulent and dotted with amazing episodes, as intense as destructive.
This is an essay that immerses us in the lives of different creators, but which, in reality, aims to address the relationship between emotions and artistic creation.
That's right. What I intend with ‘Lo que la primavera hace con los cerezos’ is to show that there is a direct relationship between love, heartbreak and creation. I do it through the different stories of great creators: painters, sculptors, poets, writers..., in short, creators of all sectors, who show that love is truly fundamental in all their works.
