The Ministry of Culture promotes the commemoration of the Centenary of the Generation of '27, to be held throughout 2027.
This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, in a ceremony in which the team and the entities that are beginning the organization and design of this celebration were presented.
On the one hand, he announced the creation of the National Commission for the commemoration of the Centenary of the Generation of '27; a collegiate body that will serve as an instrument to promote the activities of the event. In addition, the Minister of Culture presented the team of curators in charge of the commemoration, formed by Marifé Santiago, Raquel Lanseros, Àngels Gregori and Andrés Soria.
The presentation ceremony was held at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, a place closely linked to the Generation of 27. As noted by the Minister of Culture, just yesterday the Council of Ministers declared the Residencia de Estudiantes as an Asset of Cultural Interest. This initiative of restitution and recognition of the memory of 27 is an excellent inception of what is to come: a state project in the service of culture, which sees in the Generation of 27 not as a still picture of the past but the most exciting and bright project for the future.
