The call for entries for the Ángel Crespo Translation Awards is now open.

The Ángel Crespo Translation Award, organized by the Associació Col-legial d'Escriptors de Catalunya, the Centro Español de Derechos Reprográficos (CEDRO),

and the Gremi d'Editors de Catalunya, has opened the call for entries for its XXVIII edition in the category of translation into Spanish and for its II edition in the category of translation into Catalán.

The award, which pays tribute to the great translator, poet and humanist Ángel Crespo (Ciudad Real, 1926 - Barcelona, 1995), is recognized as one of the most prestigious contests in the world of translation due to the high level of works submitted every year.

In the present call for entries any translation into Spanish of a literary work (poetry, narrative, theater or essay) published for the first time between January 1, and December 31, 2024, will be eligible for this award. The source language of the translation may be any language of the European Community, in addition to Russian.
