The Europe Pavilion celebrates the 40th anniversary of Spain's entry into the European Union at the Madrid Book Fair.

The Europe Pavilion returns to the Madrid Book Fair for the fourth consecutive year, thanks to the collaboration of the European Commission Representation in Spain.

With Europe as the common thread, it will bring together Spanish and international authors to talk about culture in all its aspects.

This year, the Pavilion celebrates a key event for the European Union and Spain: the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Act of Accession of Spain to the European Communities, which took place on June 12, 1985. To commemorate this date, the pavilion will offer a special program in which writers, academics, economists, journalists, playwrights, translators, philosophers and musicians will analyze, from multiple approaches, the 40 years of Spain's entry into the European Union. There is also a renewed decoration from an original design with nods to European culture and essential quotes from writers from the 27 member countries.
