The Madrid Book Fair will host the VII Encuentro de Librerías y Editoriales Independientes Iberoamericanas ‘Otra Mirada’.

Otra Mirada,’ the international project promoted by Librerías Cálamo (Zaragoza) that fosters exchange, dialogue and cooperation between bookstores, publishers,

distributors and professionals in the Ibero-American book sector, 

will hold its 7th edition at the Madrid Book Fair on June 10. ‘Otra Mirada’ in a fundamental meeting point for Ibero-American independent publishing

Since its creation in 2011, ‘Otra Mirada’ has held six editions, two of them in Spain, Zaragoza and Barbastro; two in Mexico, both in Guadalajara; one in Antigua Guatemala (Guatemala); and another in Bogota (Colombia). It also held a virtual edition in collaboration with the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The seventh edition of ‘Otra Mirada’ will be held for the first time within the framework of the Madrid Book Fair. It will be a day open to the public, with free admission until full capacity is reached, which will bring together key voices from the Ibero-American book ecosystem, from community projects to historic bookstores and new independent initiatives. The event will take place in the new Ibero-American Pavilion of the Madrid Book Fair.
