Next Thursday, May 22, at 11:30 a.m., will take place the solemn academic act of investiture of the writer Isabel Allende (1942, Lima) as doctor honoris causa by the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Cervantes Institute in Madrid
Allende, member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and winner of the 2010 Chilean National Literature Prize, will be conferred an honorary doctorate for the first time by a Spanish university. The laudation will be delivered by Carmen Alemany, professor of Spanish-American Literature at the University of Alicante.
