The publishing house Libros Corrientes announces the second edition of the book 'Pioneras Flamencas.'.
The first women of the flamenco according to the stories and memories of the time. With epilogues by Carlos García Simón and Rita Giménez García.
This book brings together the two main collections of memories and testimonies -both written and photographic- that exist about the first women of flamenco, those found in the books by Guillermo Núñez de Prado (first published in 1904) and Fernando el de Triana (first published in 1935). In many cases, the only information we have about them comes from these two sources, being reduced, in some of them, to a name and a photograph.
