Author of poetry collections, essays, and short stories, Palàcios was responsible for the edition of Tirant, illustrated by Manuel Boix, and for translating "Nosaltres els valencians" into Spanish.
Writer and editor Josep Palàcios, heir and executor of Joan Fuster, has died at the age of 87, this newspaper has been able to confirm. The funeral will be held from this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Astruells funeral home in Sueca. Palàcios will be cremated tomorrow, Sunday, and buried in private, according to sources from the writer's family.
One of the great figures of Valencian literature of the 20th century and part of the 21st century has passed away, emphasized this morning the poet and editor Voro Ortells, who has coordinated a study of his work that will soon be published by the Institució Alfons el Magnànim. "He was the author of an extremely powerful body of work because there was no gap between his life and his literature," Ortells adds. "For him, life was literature, and literature was life."
