El Periódico interviews Luis García Montero, poet and director of the Cervantes Institute

During Almudena's illness, I realized that the sick person also cares for those who care for them.

Luis García Montero is a poet, professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Granada, and currently director of the Cervantes Institute. Last Thursday, he participated in the talk "Love and Pain" as part of the MOT Literature Festival.

You have experienced both things up close, love and pain.

They are two things that almost everyone knows. Poetry becomes powerful when it addresses themes that affect the human condition, and love and pain are closely related to the human condition.
