The Spanish Ministry of Culture has announced the 2025 National Competition for the Best Artistic Bindings.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 10th. The object of the award is to recognize the best bindings, in order to encourage and acknowledge the work of Spanish bookbinding artists. The work to be bound will be Donde las mujeres by Álvaro Pombo García de los Ríos, winner of the 2024 Miguel de Cervantes Prize for Literature in Spanish.

Three prizes will be awarded, each with the following sums: €6,000 for first prize; €4,000 for second prize; and €2,000 for third prize. The deadline for submitting bound works is June 2nd, 2024.
