The writer and journalist from Córdoba, Antonio Agredano, will be the new director of the Seville Book Fair.
Agredano takes over from Rafael Jurado, who has been in charge of Andalusia's main book fair for the past four years.
The news was first reported yesterday by journalist Patricia Godino in El Correo de Andalucía, and Publishnews was able to confirm it today. Agredano's candidacy was selected by the commission from among five candidates submitted in a selection process that began last January.
Antonio Agredano is no stranger to directing literary events, as he is responsible for the Cosmopoética festival in his native Córdoba. The contract to direct the fair is renewable for one year. Agredano faces the obligation to promote a fair that, year after year, has experienced significant growth in both attendance and the number of activities.
