The Galician Editors' Association commemorates Isaac Díaz Pardo as editor

This 2025, the year in which Galician Arts Day is dedicated to Isaac Díaz Pardo, the Galician Editors' Association will commemorate his career with the 'Isaac, Editor' event, focusing on his role at the helm of Ediciós do Castro

Honorary President of the Galician Editors' Association since 2006, he launched Ediciós do Castro in 1963, a publishing house specializing in the recovery of Galicia's historical memory, the dissemination of Galician culture and science, and one of the most important publishing houses in Galicia in the 20th century.

The "Isaac, Editor" event will be held on the morning of Thursday, March 27th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the auditorium of the Galician Culture Council (Praza do Obradoiro, in Compostela) and will be open to the public until capacity is reached. The program consists of two lectures: the opening lecture, by Charo Portela—deputy director of Ediciós do Castro and coordinator of cultural activities at the Instituto Galego de Información until 2008—titled Isaac Díaz Pardo, editor; and the closing lecture, by graphic designer Pepe Barro, will offer an overview of the image of Galician publishing up to Ediciós do Castro, under the theme Design and identity of the Galician book.
