Hiperràbia (Angle Editorial, 2024), by Ferran Grau, and En el pensamiento (Random House, 2024), by César Aira, are the two winning works of the 5th edition of the Finestres Prize for Narrative in Catalan and Spanish, respectively.
At the same time, Giulia Sagramola has been awarded the Finestres Prize for Comics in Catalan, for the work Cap endavant. In addition, Uxía Larrosa has won the Mention for Young Talent of the Finestres Prize for Comics in Catalan for the work El despreniment; and the second Mention for Young Talent has been declared void.
The jury of the Finestres Prize for Narrative in Catalan, made up of Marina Espasa, Anna Guitart, Mara Faye Lethem, Pedro Antoni Pons and Gemma Medina, has praised Ferran Grau's work for "its boldness and degree of elaboration and literary rewriting based on two elements: a real crime and another literary text such as La Naranja mecánica (A Clockwork Orange), by Anthony Burgess.
