Interview with the Madrid writer Pilar Adón

The Madrid writer, winner in 2022 of the National Narrative Prize, the Critics' Prize, the Francisco Umbral Prize for Book of the Year and the Cálamo Otra Mirada Prize with her novel De bestias y pájaros

published by Galaxia Gutenberg, presents us with her latest work, Las iras, 18 short stories with a similar structure in which the main themes are abandonment and betrayal by those who should protect us and the lack of love.

One of the constants in Pilar Adón's literature is that the protagonists of her stories are women; in this case very young, who do not control the fear or anger that erupts in the face of injustice. Another is dogs that, as a counterpoint, symbolize loyalty.
