The XXII edition of the International Book Fair in Guatemala (Filgua) will be extended by two more days, for a total of thirteen, thanks to the increase in budget approved by the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala.
Filgua 2025 will be dedicated to the sociologist, historian and professor Marta Elena Casaús Arzú, and will have Spain as Guest Country of Honor. The fair, which will have a varied program of workshops, exhibitions, presentations and many other activities, will take place from July 1st to the 13th.
The presentation of this event took place at the facilities of the Guatemalan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the Vice Minister of Culture, Rodrigo Carrillo, and the Spanish ambassador to Guatemala, María Clara Girbau Ronda, were present, along with representatives of the international community. They all witnessed how this key event for the promotion of reading in Guatemala and throughout Central America is becoming more and more consolidated.
