ElevenLabs, the AI voice technology company, has introduced, through a press release, ElevenReader Publishing,
a new platform that allows authors to create professional-grade audiobooks at no cost, distribute them globally, and earn royalties of $1.10 (€1.02) for each listener who interacts with their work for more than 11 minutes through a beta program currently limited to US-based authors due to tax requirements.
The service uses ElevenLabs’ AI audio technology to generate “realistic, versatile, and context-aware speech,” turning manuscripts into audiobooks “ready in minutes,” according to ElevenLabs. Authors can import books as ePub, docx, or PDF files, preview the audio in the app with thousands of AI voice options, and publish it for distribution without exclusivity restrictions.
