The deadline for receiving applications for the XXI Ibero-American SM Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature is now open

The Ibero-American SM Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature is open for applications until April 10th, 2025.

The prize was launched in 2005, the Ibero-American Year of Reading, with the aim of promoting children and young adults literature in Latin America. The main objective is to recognize those highly prestigious authors who have developed their literary career in the field of books for children and young adult readers. The SM Ibero-American Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature is convened annually by the SM Foundation in conjunction with four international cultural institutions that make up the Prize Association: the Regional Center for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC), the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OIE), the International Board on Books for Young Adult (IBBY) and the Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Mexico (UNESCO), with the support of the Guadalajara International Book Fair.
