Helena Moreno Padilla wins the XX Jordi Sierra i Fabra Prize with a work of fantasy

Helena Moreno Padilla, from Almería, has won the XX Jordi Sierra i Fabra Prize for Young Adults, in an edition marked by the increase in the quality of the originals presented.

The fantasy stories are more original and more elaborate; the realistic stories show a clear influence of different successes of the children's literature or are perhaps inherited orally from grandparents or guardians; a romantic fantasy novel stands out for its surprising nature and one about the History of Rome for its documentation.

Jordi Sierra i Fabra has congratulated the participants in these awards, which his Foundation has been holding for 20 years, and states that "writing is an endless marathon, each book is always the first, and the toll of learning is hard, although it is usually comforting. Writing is a necessity for many, just like breathing. Effort, sacrifice, confidence and perseverance beyond the results is the key to becoming a writer."
