Traditional Cuban-exile bookstore in Miami will close this summer

After 48 years in the business, Librería Universal will close its doors on June 20. The popular bookstore in Calle Ocho in Miami, could not survived the effects of new technologies, its owner Juan Manuel Salvat told El País.

“The bookstore depends on paper books, and if most people start to read on tablets and order books online, the bookstore becomes economically impossible to sustain," said Salvat. Read the complete story here.
