Carmen Mola is the pseudonym under which Spanish writers Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercero publish together.
Their collaboration began in 2018 with the book La novia gitana, which was published by Alfaguara Publishing House. From then on, the trio became really popular in their native country and the rest of the world. At the same time, its protagonist, Elena Blanco, won the affection of the public.
Initially, Carmen Mola remained 'an anonymous author', and this was the case until 2021, when Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercero won the Planeta Prize with their title La Bestia. Despite Mola's aforementioned popularity, her foray into the literary world through a female pseudonym has created a complex controversy that alienated some readers from her works.

Carmen Mola surprised the publishing world after the publication of the first book, The Gypsy Bride, with which they began the Inspector Elena Blanco series. Initially, this was supposed to be a trilogy. However, Mola wrote two more installments: The Mothers and The Clan.
