The Audie Awards are the main awards in the United States that recognize excellence in audiobooks and spoken entertainment.
Publishers and rights holders enter titles in the various categories to have their achievements recognized. Finalists are selected and then a winner is awarded in each category at the Audie Gala. As every year, since 2021, the awards have a category for the best Spanish-language audiobook.
The winners of the 28 categories of the contest ? one more than last year ? will be announced on March 4th at an event in New York presented by the writer and actress Amy Sedaris, a finalist for an Audie in 2008. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Audie Awards, which also had awards for Spanish-language audiobooks in their first 5th editions. The Audie Awards are open to nominations from outside the United States, but their rules require that a title be on sale in that country to be considered.
