Mexican poet Julio Trujillo was found dead: he had been missing for six days

Mexican poet and publisher Julio Trujillo has died in England, where he had been living for four years.

The writer had been missing for almost a week and the Mexican Embassy in the United Kingdom had requested the collaboration of the British authorities in the search for the poet.

Born in Mexico City in 1969, he was editorial director of Letras Libres magazine, Newsweek in Spanish, the Directorate of Publications of the Ministry of Culture in Mexico and the Alfaguara label of Penguin Random House Mexico. The writer is the author of the poetry books “Una sangre” (1998), “Proa” (2000), “El perro de Koudelka” (2005), “Sobrenoche” (2005), “Bipolar” (2008), “Pitecántropo” (2009), “Ex profeso” (2010), “La burbuja” (2013), “El acelerador de partículas” (2017) and “Jueves” (2021), as well as the book of chronicles about Mexico City “Atajos y Rodeos” (2015).
