Paidós Publishing House celebrates its 80th anniversary with a new award that goes to the Argentine essayist Tamara Tenenbaum

The winning work, ‘Un millón de cuartos propios’, which receives 35,000 euros, is based on the famous ‘Un cuarto propio’ by Virginia Woolf.

Un millón de cuartos propios, Ensayo para un tiempo ajeno, by the Argentine philosopher Tamara Tenenbaum, is the winning essay of the first Paidós Prize. The award, in its first edition, was presented at the headquarters of the Foto Colectania Foundation, in Barcelona, ??on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the publishing house of the same name, which belongs to the Planeta group.

The prize is intended to be in line with the original values ??of Paidós (“humanism, critical thinking and curiosity”) and, with a prize of 35,000 euros, it tries to test the international terrain in search of essays of a more informative than academic nature. The winning work will be published in Spain, Latin America and the United States starting on February 26th.
