Madrid, 28/11/2024. The Board of Directors of CEDRO, aware of the difficult situation of writers, translators, journalists and publishers of books, newspapers, magazines
and sheet music affected by the recent DANA (Extreme rains causing landslides) has decided to create a special fund of 250,000 euros. This endowment is intended to provide immediate financial assistance to authors and publishers who have suffered damage due to this meteorological phenomenon in various localities.
The main objective is to offer direct economic assistance, through CEDRO's own resources, for the repair of homes, the purchase of food, medicines, clothing and other basic necessities or, in the case of authors, to carry out their work. Part of the endowment will also be used to mitigate the economic losses suffered by publishers.
