At a press conference, Spain's Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, shared his experience on his first visit to the Guadalajara FIL and, likewise, reported on the joint efforts with his Mexican counterpart,
Claudia Curiel de Icaza, whom he visited in the days prior to the start of the Fair.
They have been impressive hosts, said Urtasun after thanking the University of Guadalajara, the FIL and its director, Marisol Schulz Manaut, for the great opportunity to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between Spain (Guest of Honor at this edition of the book fair), Mexico and Latin America.
