They are there on the shelf asking us to read them again, to enjoy them as the very first time they fell into our hands, and they are also demanding attention,
so that we take them up again when due to lack of time or at the wrong moment in our daily lives we left them unfinished.
We have focused on writers of the nineteenth century, although some went beyond that exciting century, who left us masterpieces with stories of sea adventures, passion and tragedy, tenderness, social criticism or nostalgia, some are long and ask for time and patience; others are shorter but no less intense, but all want to fill with life again the moments of leisure and rest.
