Argentine writer and journalist Leila Guerriero has won the Zenda Narrative Prize 2023-2024 for her book “La llamada”, published by Anagrama.

According to the jury, 'combining agile journalistic narrative and vigorous storytelling, Leila Guerriero turns a real case of political terrorism into a tremendous, moving and at the same time humorous account of life's extreme experiences and the powerful human instinct for survival'.

The jury of the Zenda Awards was composed of book industry professionals Guillermo Altares, Nuria Azancot, Laura Barrachina, Pepa Blanes, Jesús García Calero, Antonio Lucas, Alberto Olmos, Cristina Rivera Garza, Sergio Vila-Sanjuán and Santos Sanz Villanueva, as well as Leandro Pérez and Álvaro Colomer (secretary of the jury), both representing Zenda magazine.
