The historical archive of Gabriela Mistral, winner of the 1945 Nobel Prize for Literature, was built by women.

Correspondence, photographs and memories of the Chilean poet, educator and diplomat were kept by her secretaries -almost all of them intimate confidants- to be later scrutinized by researchers, such as the American Elizabeth Horan, academic at Arizona State University and author of Mistral.
