From November 6 to 10, the fourth edition of the Barcelona Fantastic Genres Festival, Festival 42, will take place at the official venue, the Fabra i Coats site.
More than 150 speakers, including writers and moderators, will take part in the 73 activities of the official program, in addition to the twenty activities of +42.
Organized by the Institute of Culture of Barcelona with the aim of focusing on non-realist literature, Festival 42 has become a reference point throughout Spain and brings together the most important figures in the genre, both internationally and nationally. This year it will be inaugurated by one of the consecrated voices of the fantastic author from Barcelona, Albert Sánchez Piñol, in conversation with the director of the festival, Ricard Ruiz Garzón (November 6, 4 p.m.).
Festival 42 will feature the presence, for the first time live and in Barcelona, of the American storyteller Ted Chiang, one of the great world references of speculative fiction.
