y no tan escépticos,” in which he offers a unique and accessible perspective on one of the most influential empires in history. Eslava Galán has shared his reflections with a handful of journalists on the importance of Roman history and its relevance today.
During the presentation to the media, Eslava Galán referred to the words of the famous historian Edward Gibbon, who described the history of Rome as “stupendous and splendid”.
The author emphasizes that this historical narrative allows us to witness over the course of a thousand years the evolution of a civilization that began as a small seed and, over time, became a vast empire. “From the birth of a seed, a tree will grow and become the firewood to be chopped and used for fire,” explains Eslava Galán, using a metaphor that illustrates the growth and decadence of Rome.
