María Pérez Heredia was born in Zaragoza in 1994 and has become one of the latest literary phenoms thanks to her third novel,'Pirineo Noir,'
which is also her debut in the noir genre. She studied Hispanic Philology and published her first book, “Esos días raros de lluvia,” when she was nineteen years old. This was followed by “Starman,” which was exceptionally well received by critics, and the young adult story “Eydís y el largo invierno” (illustrated by David Guirao).
She has also collaborated with other authors and written short stories and literary criticism articles. She went to live in France in 2017, where she has worked at the University of Grenoble as a professor of Spanish literature. In this interview she talks to us about “Pirineo noir” and many other topics. I thank her for the time given to this interview.
