Spain presents its program as Guest of Honor of the FIL Guadalajara

The Spanish Ministry of Culture and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) have detailed today the content of the Spain Guest of Honor Country program for FIL 2024,

(Guadalajara International Book Fair), which will take place in the Mexican city from November 30 to December 8. Under the slogan “Camino de ida y vuelta,” Spain's presence at the Guadalajara FIL - the most important Spanish-language book fair, which attracts more than 800,000 visitors each year - aims to showcase the image of a plural, diverse and multicultural country, a privileged communication link between Europe and Latin America and a two-way bridge across the Atlantic Ocean.

The event, held in the auditorium of the National Library of Spain, was attended by Ernest Urtasun, Spain's Minister of Culture; María José Gálvez, director general of Books, Comics and Reading at the Ministry of Culture; Inmaculada Ballesteros, director of Programming at Acción Cultural Española (AC/E); Sergio Ramírez, curator of the literary program; and Giselle Etcheverry Walker, head of content design for the literary and pavilion programs.
