José Crehueras presents the 75th edition of the Planeta Prize

In an event marked by the celebration of a significant milestone in the history of literature and publishing in Spanish, José Crehueras, President of Grupo Planeta, presented the 75th edition of the prestigious Planeta Prize.

This year not only marks the awarding of one of the most important literary prizes in the Spanish-speaking world, but also the 75th anniversary of the founding of the publishing house that has been a pillar in the promotion of literature in Spain and Latin America since 1949.

During his speech, Crehueras highlighted the trajectory of the publishing house, which began with the publication of their first book, “Mientras la ciudad duerme,” by Frank Yerby. Since then, Planeta has grown exponentially, managing to publish an impressive total of 135,000 books throughout its 75-year history.
