Interview with Pablo Martín Carbajal

'In 'Yo no seré la Implorante' I deal with the social changes that took place from the 70s to the 90s and how those changes influenced women, who became liberated.

In his first novel, Tú eres azul cobalto, Pablo Martín Carbajal told us about Dori's paroxysm. Now, the author returns to explore these characters in Yo no seré La Implorante.  Both novels can be read independently and evidence the constant connection between art and life.

Yo no seré La Implorante is the story of a woman who fought tirelessly to be true to herself. In the premise of the last years of Franco's regime, May '68 in Paris, and the upheaval of the Movida Madrileña, Mila's struggle unfolds, a reflection of a convulsive era.
