Born in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) in 1923, he was a member of the 50's generation and had a prolific literary career marked by the publication of poetry books such as 'Contemplación y aventura' (1957) and 'Historia de un tiempo futuro' (1960),
for which both, he won a second prize of the Adonáis Award.
Throughout his career, he also received the Guipúzcoa Poetry Prize in 1962 for 'Jaque mate' and the Miguel Hernández Prize for 'Así es Babilonia' in the 1980s.
