Chicago Public Schools (CPS) celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with programming and curriculum highlighting the history and heritage of Latinos and Latin Americans.
Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15, resonates in a District where nearly half of more than 320,000-plus students identify as Hispanic, including CPS alumnus and CEO Pedro Martinez, who emigrated with his family from Mexico to Chicago when he was five years old.
