Argentine writer and journalist María Moreno is elected Konex Brillante 2024 Award winner.

The Konex Foundation announced yesterday the winners of the Konex Platinum Awards.

The announcement was made by Luis Ovsejevich, president of the Foundation, together with the jury, chaired by María Teresa Andruetto. In previous editions, the Konex de Brillante went to Jorge Luis Borges in 1984, Adolfo Bioy Casares in 1994, Héctor Tizón in 2004, and Abelardo Castillo and Ricardo Piglia in 2014. On this occasion it goes to writer and journalist María Moreno.

María Moreno was selected among the 20 Konex Platino awards, which were as follows:

In the novel category, the winner for 2014-2017 is Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, author among other books of “Las aventuras de la China Iron” and the most recent “Las niñas del Naranjel.” Daniel Guebel was the winner for the 2018-2020 period; while in the 2020-2023 period Carlos Gamerro won the award.
