El Mundo presents the 10 best-selling books of the week. These are this week's best-selling novels and non-fiction books.

With September already in full swing, the autumn novels are already making their presence felt on the bestseller list.

While several of the pre-festival classics remain, such as Joël Dicker and his “Un animal salvaje” or Manel Loureiro's ambitious thriller “Cuando la tormenta pase,” there are also names such as Juan Tallón and his strange and asphyxiating “El mejor del mundo,” and  “El niño que perdió la guerra,” the new historical thriller by Julia Navarro, and not to be left out Víctor del Árbol and his absorbing “El tiempo de las fieras” are already at the top of the list. And there will be many more in September.

In nonfiction, the new releases also come in strong, from a classic of recent years such as “La conciencia contada por un sapiens a un neandertal,” the third book in the successful saga written by Juan José Millás and Juan Luis Arsuaga, to Ignacio Martínez de Pisón's emotional training memoir, “Ropa de casa;” and the latest by the controversial and popular Byung-Chul Han, “El espíritu de la esperanza.”
