A total of 1,070 works from around the world are competing for the 73rd edition of the Planeta Prize, worth one million euros and 200,000 euros for the finalist, ..
which will be decided on October 15th in Barcelona by a jury that includes the writer Luz Gabás and the academic Eva Giner. According to Planeta on Monday, this high participation confirms "once again, the interest that the award arouses in the field of literature in Spain and Latin America."
The prize will be announced on Tuesday, October 15th at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), during the traditional literary dinner. The jury for the award will be composed this year of José Manuel Blecua, Juan Eslava Galán, Pere Gimferrer, Carmen Posadas, Eva Giner, Luz Gabás, and Belén López, director of Editorial Planeta and voting secretary.
