said the Italian philosopher Nuccio Ordine in the introduction to “Clasicos para la vida. Una pequeña biblioteca ideal.” (Editorial Acantilado).

'In the pages of the classics, even centuries away, it is still possible to feel the heartbeat of life in its most diverse forms'. The book (which was printed in the country) begins with famous lines from a poem by Jorge Luis Borges ("Let others boast of the pages they have written; / I am proud of those I have read") and brings together a selection of fragments commented by Ordine that were published between 2014 and 2015 in the weekly "Sette", of the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. Ordine passed away in June 2023 at the age of 64.
