'El libro negro de las horas', from Sáenz de Urturi's police trilogy, will be turned into a fiction series.

The novel is the second installment of the 'Kraken' saga, one of the great publishing phenomena of recent years, with 4 million readers.

The production company Isla Audiovisual will turn the first novel in the Kraken series, ‘El libro negro de las horas,’ by Planeta Award winner Eva Gª de Urturi, into a six-episode fiction series. Rocío Martínez and Juan Carlos Cueto will be in charge of the development of the series along with the author of the novel, according to the production company.

‘El libro negro de las horas’ is the first part of the second trilogy of detective novels centered on the character of ‘Kraken,’ one of the great publishing phenomena in Spanish in recent years, more than 100 editions and translated into more than 20 languages in 40 countries. It was also the second best-selling novel in Spain in 2022, according to CEGAL (Spanish Confederation of Guilds and Associations of Booksellers).
